Ashland Kids
Ashland Kids is the children’s ministry of Ashland Oldham County. The Bible tells the most exciting story ever told. It’s the story of how Jesus includes us in His Kingdom that will one day take over the whole world. It includes fascinating adventures of men and women who believed in God’s promise of Jesus.
Our desire is to capture both the excitement of the Bible and the energy of children in hopes that they will one day set out on their own adventure to tell the world about Jesus.
Ashland Kids takes place every Sunday morning during our worship service for kids 5th grade and younger. Ashland Kids also provides kid-friendly sermon aids for kids who stay in the worship service. Families should feel no pressure to put their kids in Ashland Kids classes if they would prefer to keep their kiddos in the main service.
Our goal is that our Ashland Kids wing is the most secure place your child will be each week. To help us accomplish this we use KidCheck secure check-in system. You can create an account for your family here or you can download the KidCheck app.
Elementary Kids’ Sermon
During our Sunday morning services, parents have the option of sending their K-5th Grade kids to hear a sermon that is optimized for their age group. The elementary sermon will follow The Gospel Project plan through the whole Bible!
Ashland Kids+
Ashland Kids+ is a program for families with children 2 years old – 5th grade who are looking to teach their children about the Bible and the God at the center of it. At Ashland Kids+, your kids will memorize Scripture, complete activities that teach them about the Bible, watch skits, sing songs of worship, and earn prizes. You can register your family here.
Ashland Kids+ a combination of in-person events and weekly at-home family activities.
There is a monthly family night (when we do not have an Equipped Study in session) that includes skits, games, prizes and more! When the Equipped Study is in session, Kids+ will be each Wednesday night at 6:30pm during the Equipped Study. At home, kids will also complete activities and Scripture memory exercises during the week. Remember that monthly Family Nights are for the whole family! Please feel free to bring younger/older siblings/friends. Families will work together to learn more about the good news of the gospel and become equipped to live gospel-filled lives individually, in community, and on mission.
Vacation Bible School
At Vacation Bible School (VBS), your kids will learn about God’s relationship with them: from creating them, sending his own Son for us and offering them eternal life in Christ! Kids will learn all about this while enjoying songs, games, skits, crafts, and more!
VBS 2022 will take place on July 25-29 and the theme is Camp Swamp Saga. Kids will be taking an adventure through the bayou to learn about Creation, Sin, Salvation, and Restoration!
